The 2 Little Things Which Can Either Split Or Strengthen A Marriage
Today, divorce is as frequent as a nation's mortality rate. What has happened to society, that has made divorce so widespread all over the world?
Marriage is work, and continues to be a work in progress throughout the relationship. The statistics largely describe how most couples, no matter what country they come from or what their religion is, treat the concept of marriage.
A concept that has been highly regarded during the good old days, but is now regarded as something which you can easily switch off with a divorce when you don't feel like staying with your partner anymore. But one must ask, why does this happen so frequently?
Big Results come from Small Efforts
The answer is very simple. It is all about the little things - the little things that you should let go and the little things that you should give importance to. There are things that you should not fuss about, like who gets to do the household chores and stuff.
While there are also things that should not be let go. Discuss it even if it means arguing about it, but it is still best to keep discussions open and relaxed, when flaring tempers do not cloud your ability to make sound judgments.
The Little Things that can be done
Both parties need to think about the little things which could strain or strengthen their marriage.
1. Physical appearance matters.
Physical appearance is not something that any party should let go through the course of their marriage.
Let's face it, we live in a visually driven society where appearances, in one way or another, does matter. So do not give your spouse an opportunity to be attracted to someone else, because attraction is the spark plug to many relationships, and that includes your relationship. Keep your spouse interested and attracted to you, keep him or her hooked to you so he or she will not go wandering off with somebody else.
2. Learn to Appreciate Your Spouse.
Just as when one spouse makes an effort to keep the other interested and attracted, reciprocation of that spouse's efforts is equally important. Appreciation is the key. Everyone longs for appreciation and so does married couples. Remember that even if you are united as one body through marriage, you are still an individual person who needs to be appreciated for your efforts.
At the end of the Day, the Little Things matter most.
Remember that your relationship started perhaps with attraction or admiration, a feeling so petty it has grown so much and it eventually brought the two of you in unison through marriage.
Revive the things that brought you closer and together. Because it is the same little things that couples gradually forget as they get older. If this is not resolved, divorce is the easiest resort. This shouldn't be the case.
