Of All The Foods That Speed Up Metabolism...veggies Are The Best!

Imagine this...

Of all the foods that speed up metabolism - which we experience as increased energy - vegetables are yummy/delicious, nutritious and fairly cheap. But then, you already knew that.

You've been concentrating on eating better and having more foods that speed up metabolism, so you have been eating lots of vegetables with your meals. Still, you barely have the energy to stuggle through the day.

After putting in a tough day at work, you don't really feel like doing anything but putting yourself in front of the television and relaxing until bedtime.

Then, the next morning when the alarm goes off, you feel like you've just finished running a marathon. You haven't gotten any rest at all! You hit the snooze button as many times as you can and then AT LAST drag yourself out of the bed. First destination? The coffee maker - ALWAYS!

All these years you've been blaming your bed but possibly you're dragging because you haven't been getting the nutrition you need! Foods that speed up metabolism and give you the right nutrition will generate a lot of energy - but only if you eat them correctly. Were you aware that quite a few vitamins dissolve in water? It matters.

When we cook our vegetables - which almost always involves boiling them in water - we are dissolving the vitamins and minerals! They are water soluble. We literally pour them down the drain! What's left over has - by comparison - very little nutritional value.

Most vegetables can be eaten raw and whenever the opportunity presents itself, that's the way you should eat them.

The up side is that there are TONS of benefits to doing it that way.

To begin with, you'll stop wasting all those nutrients. Possibly for the first time EVER, your body will start getting the nutrients it needs. You will feel better in general and will notice a boost in your energy levels right away.

Second, raw vegetables just flat out taste better.

Third, you don't need to wash your pots and pans if you avoid using them.

Fourth, uncooked vegetables {are a good source of|provide a lot of good] fiber and roughage.

Did I mention they taste better?

Here is your next project... Eat at least one vegetable at every meal, raw.

vegetables do have chemical and pesticide residues on them when you get them from the store. Be sure to clean them thoroughly. For a healthier option, if you want to cut out the pesticides, try to purchase only} organic vegetables.

Do you take a daily vitamin supplement? If not you should probably start. The average diet does NOT provide all the nutrients our body needs.

As you start eating healthy foods that speed up metabolism, your food will provide more of the nutrients you need. You shouldn't stop taking vitamins, but at least you won't need them so desperately.

Get started eating your vegetables uncooked and soon you will be one of those annoying people who leap out of bed in the morning raring to go and full of energy.
