Don't mess with the seafood stand in Kaikoura, New Zealand

Kaikoura is a town on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 1 180 km north of Christchurch. During the middle of our campervan hire new-zealand in January 2009 we stayed overnight in Kaikoura where whale watching is fantastic! Seeing the giant sperm whale, dusky dolphins, and fur seals are some rare experiences for me. We watched them by boat but you can also take a scenic flight or an air tour in a span minimum of 30 minutes.
Campgrounds are extensive and expect abundance in seafood. Local specialties include the town's number one on the list is the Crayfish, Groper, Cod Mussels, Paua, and some that are seasonally available are scallops, oysters and whitebait. If you wanna get rid of cooking and jump on a restaurant you won't regret it. Seafoods are cooked to that taste you'd surely want more. We've been into this little stop that you don't wanna mess with -- the seafood stand in Kaikoura, located along the roadside about a kilometer from the seal colony. How incredible that it drives traffic and like there's no other. I love Crayfish and Mussels. I knew that they cook so well. When my crayfish and mussels were served I couldn't help the smell, It's like telling me to get the knife and the fork working. And the moment I placed it on my mouth... mmmmmm... It was the most delightful crayfish I've ever laid on my tongue. The Mussels were great but I wont forget my moment with Crayfish plus, they serve generously.
