Delegate Wedding Responsibilities Tips

For many women the wedding day is not just a wedding day. Often these women already know how their wedding day will be because they have been dreaming about this since they were a little girl. Making this wonderful dream become a reality is what most women pursue. Making this dream real requires a lot of hard work and putting all little details together. All these details and planning are a major responsibility and just is too stressful for the bride alone to take care of every detail herself. Even if the future husband does al lot of work there is a lot of stress and planning to make this day the most beautiful day for the both. To reduce the huge amount of stress for the bride it's best for her to try to learn to delegate responsibilities and not to take of every detail herself. This is not an easy thing to do because many brides fear to loose control and fear to trust others to handle certain issues. When the bride knows and feels she can delegate specific tasks into the hands of reliable and capable people she will be capable of delegating some specific tasks. The maid of honour, parents of the bride, parents of the groom and even the groom are probably all eager and willing to help out with the wedding plans and it is important to let them do so. The key to delegating responsibilities is to entrust others to take control of areas that you may not be especially particular about. Here are some examples of issues can be delegated.

The wedding dress is for most brides the most important item for the wedding. Choosing the perfect wedding dress is something that can not be delegated. There are visions and emotions involved when choosing the perfect wedding dress that can not be described. But there are some tasks that some one else can do after the dress is chosen. Usually the wedding dress needs to be steam cleaned and picked up. After that the dress needs to be stored where the bride will be dressed for her wedding day. This is a task that can be left to someone else and gives the bride just one less thing to worry about.

The design and layout for the reception area is a task for the bride and groom. But once the planning and design is clear the actual setting up the room can be delegated to another friend or family member. The bride may wish to draw up exact specifications to demonstrate the look that she wants but she will surely be able to trust a family member to follow her directions and prepare the room to her expectations. Also the as the reception area likely has to be set just prior to the reception it is just no feasible for the bride to complete this task herself.

Another example are the wedding favours. The wedding favours are a very important part of the wedding and the bride most likely wants to shop for and choose the favours herself. Her maid of honour or soon to be husband may accompany her on this shopping excursion for support and to offer their opinions but this is not likely a task that the bride will want to relinquish. Conversely, the bride may not be too particular about how the place cards are written out so this might be an example of a responsibility that can easily be delegated.

The stress involved with the planning a wedding must not be underestimated. The bride is most likely to be the one who will be most stressful because she has the perfect wedding in her mind. Letting go of some responsibilities and task to others can relieve her from a huge amount of stress. Delegating specific task to other reliable and capable people will be the key to a perfect wedding day. The bride needs to realize that by delegating these tasks she can focus on more critical aspects of her wedding.

Favor Ideas Best Abandoned

Wedding favors are meant to commemorate your wedding day long after it as passed. You want your guests to take away good memories when hey go home after the wedding party, not laugh their heads off at your ridiculously silly favor ideas! And not in a good way either.

With that said, you had better say "Adios, mi amigo" to the following favor ideas if you don't want to become the laughingstock of your friends now and cringe at the thought of your foolishness in the future.

Edible Candy G-string and Bra

So, you wanted to provide your guests with edible wedding favors with a naughty, very naughty, twist. Then, you saw this edible candy G-string and bra set over the Internet and thought, "Eureka! I found my wedding favors". NOT!

It may be made of more than 300 fruit-flavored candy arranged most ingeniously into wearable underwear but it's one of the great favor ideas for Valentine's Day, not on your wedding! Scrap it. Or better yet, eat it on your honeymoon.

Human Key Kinky Holder

You just wanted to provide your guests with wedding favors off the beaten keychain/keyholder track. So, you decided that, yes, those human key kinky holders are ideal. You don't know what these are?

These are wall-mounted key holders where the receptacle for the key is located in the most private nether regions of the male and female forms. If your guests forget their keys, they just need to look downwards and remember your tackiness.

Gas Mask Bong

Here's another one of those favor ideas that make you think that it seemed like a hilarious idea at the time. Unless your guests are all marijuana-smoking addicts and will remain so for the rest of their natural lives, say a hasty goodbye.

Besides, do you really want to be remembered as the guy who got arrested on his wedding day on suspicions of pushing drugs at his guests? Probably not.

Chocolate Body Paint

And then there's the chocolate body paint wedding favors. Sure, it's edible, it's chocolate, and it's cute. But it's still body paint, it's tacky and it's suggestive! What will your parents, aunts and uncles say? That you are probably off your rocker even before the shackles of marriage got you in its clutches.

Do yourself a favor and say goodbye to one of the kinkiest favor ideas ever. Instead, reserve it for your honeymoon in the Caribbean.

Mind Trainer Toilet Roll

And here's the tackiest and wackiest of them all - Mind Trainer toilet roll. Sure, it may be a personalized wedding favor because you can have your initials and pictures stamped on the boxes. But what in the name of the gods of toilet paper crossed your mind to accept that this is an excellent wedding favor?

Still, if you want to be remembered every time your guests unload their toxic wastes, then by all means, go ahead. At least, you will have a hand in making them more intelligent than their poop via the puzzle games in the toilet paper.

Well, these favor ideas may be tasteless, tacky and tawdry but you will have a good laugh. Just be prepared to accept that the joke will be on you!

Wedding Favours That Spell You

Foremost in the minds of excited brides-to-be are the wedding stuff, starting with wedding gown down to the wedding favours; that these should reflect their personal tastes complicates the matter but this can be done without a hitch IF the brides take the time to shop.

Categories of Favours

Wedding favours serve as your wedding reception souvenirs. After all the feasting, toasting, and dancing, guests have to be thanked for dropping everything to be at your wedding. These tokens can be practical or personalized novel items that can be added to a store of collection. But whatever your choice, it is a dizzying experience to choose the items from a dazzling array of goodies at the bridal shops offline and online.

There are different categories for wedding favours -- practical, romantic, traditional, and novelty items. The type you choose will definitely reflect the type of bride you are. But whatever you select for your wedding guests need not be boring or predictable. You can still make these tokens especially meaningful and truly your own.

True, key chains are practical tokens and everybody has a use for these items. But think about it, if instead of key chains you give champagne flutes, would it not be terrific? These champagne flutes can be artfully engraved with your initials. How about an elegant starfish wine stopper? Champagne flutes and wine stoppers are taken out from storage for happy occasions. Is there a better way to remind your friends of your wedding day?

Match Your Favours with the Wedding Theme

Couples are veering away from the traditional wedding themes preferring the great outdoors to witness their official union; weddings are also scheduled any time of the year perhaps in celebration of the couple's courtship or plainly to meet the best schedule when family and friends can make it to the wedding ceremony and reception.

A beach wedding will be made more memorable if you give your guests seashell shaped scented bath soap or more fun with glass starfish candle holders. For a garden wedding, personalized seed packets, crystal flower pots, or butterfly favours are perfect.

How about a winter wedding? Snowflake favor box, snowflake glass ornaments, and kissing snow couples are just a few of endless ideas for winter wedding favours. For a traditional wedding, popular items for the guests are sweets or almonds in lovely little tin boxes, scented candle various colors and shapes, and tea lights.

The Choice is Yours

Whatever your wedding theme, you make the choice of wedding favours. Choose items that reflect the things you are passionate about. The practical bride will opt for stuff the guests can use over and over again; the romantic bride will surely choose a silver wedding bell, sparkling ice table decorations, chocolate hearts, or boxed rose petals.

If it's a beach wedding you are having, you can mix the spirit of romance with the beach theme. It's your wedding and the things you care about in life should take center stage and these should spell YOU. A traditional wedding can't stop you from giving those shell-shaped scented soap - the trick is in the packaging.

To make guests happy, sort your gifts according to gender and age. This may be tedious but if you do your shopping ahead this can be done. Wouldn't all your guests love your wedding favours? That's the special touch and that's YOU.

Personalised Wedding Favours

According to the experts in the wedding industry, there has been a huge explosion in personalised products for weddings throughout 2006.

Regardless of which area you are talking about, anything personalised is the buzz and it is anticipated that this will continue for some time.

The first area in which this was identified was in the wedding stationery that couples were choosing. Bespoke and handmade invitations have always been popular but nowadays more and more couples are choosing personalised wedding stationery. This may be in the form of a caricature of the couple on the front, a fancy entwined monogram of the couple’s initials, a montage of photographs of the bride and groom over the years or something equivalent.

The second area that has shown a rise in personalised sales is the jewellery industry and in particular for those who design and make wedding rings. Couples are opting for personalised wedding rings, designed to their specifications and engraved with the couples names and wedding date. Although these work out expensive, they are completely unique to the couple and therefore a one-off. As a result, any price can be charged and couples seem happy to pay for the privilege.

The wedding cake is the next place that you can expect to see a personalised twist! More and more cake decorators and caterers are being asked to design cakes exclusively for the couple who expect to see the cake topped with lifelike figurines of the bride and groom. Alternatively, couples have requested monograms iced throughout the topping; this is a more subtle and stylish way of personalising your wedding cake.

Those who are key to the wedding favour industry maintain that any personalised wedding favours have always been popular amongst their brides. However, they also purport that sales of Personalised ribbon have tripled throughout 2006 and confirm that brides now want guests to have a personalised memento of their big day.

Chocolate wedding favours have always captured most of the market share in the UK and to this end, the personalised chocolate market has exploded towards the end of this year. Chocolate is always received well by guests at a wedding – especially by male and younger guests although not exclusively. The choice of personalised chocolates is vast ranging from slabs with the couples names on, personalised wrappers on chocolate bars, truffles with the wedding date on and squares with digital photographs imprinted onto the chocolate!

The personalisation bug does not stop at the wedding; did you know you can even have your own bikini or beach towel designed for your honeymoon? It goes on and on but if you want to be in on the action for your big day, make sure you add a few personalised touches!
